2025 Wedding Venue Social Media Tips: 13 Ways to Attract More Couples on Instagram & TikTok

It’s 2025, and social media isn’t optional anymore—it’s where your couples are finding you, stalking your feed, and deciding if they even want to tour your space. They're scrolling late at night, in between tasks, and it’s harder than ever to actually grab their attention.

In a previous blog post, I talk about how wedding couples are one of the toughest demographics to catch online. So here, we’re diving into real, practical ways you can show up online with more intention and less "just posting to post."

Here are 11 creative, easy ways to show off your venue and create content that actually gets noticed:

I’ll start with an obvious one:

Tap into current social media trends to stay relevant and algorithm-friendly

Social trends move fast—if you want to show up where your couples are scrolling, you need someone on your team who’s actually tuned in. Using trending audios or formats at the right time can give your content a major boost thanks to Instagram and TikTok’s algorithms.

This is also a great opportunity to show some personality. Creative, behind-the-scenes takes on trends—especially with your team involved—go a long way. Couples love seeing the real people behind the venue.

Right now, authenticity is everything. Millennial and Gen-Z couples are drawn to content that feels real, unfiltered, and human. So don’t be afraid to hop on a trend and give it your own twist. That’s what makes it engaging.

Invite engaged influencers to tour your venue

This one takes a little planning—but when the timing is right, it can seriously pay off. Engaged influencers (especially local ones) are already in wedding mode, and if you can get them to visit your venue and share the experience, it builds buzz fast.

The key? Catching them before they book. Reach out early, be thoughtful with your invite, and make the experience memorable—think welcome drinks, a little tour, and some dreamy golden hour moments for them to capture.

Even if they don’t end up getting married at your venue, the content they share still puts your space in front of a wider, highly relevant audience. Worth it.

Mini walkthroughs / venue tour reels

Give a short, edited walkthrough showing key areas—your cocktail space, bridal suite, reception room with the uplighting on. Or film a setup in progress to let couples visualize the day unfolding.

✨ Bonus: Helps couples picture themselves there, especially out-of-town clients.

Video from a guest’s POV

Give your followers a first-person view—walking into cocktail hour, seeing the reception room glow, grabbing a drink from the bar. It makes your content feel immersive, and more importantly, it sells the experience, not just the space.

Show the emotion (and whose behind it)

POV-style content is gold when it comes to creating an emotional connection. Think beyond the typical venue shots—like a quick moment of your coordinator straightening the bride’s train, handing tissues to a teary-eyed parent, or guiding the couple to their private dinner. These moments hit emotionally and tell your audience you’re not just a space—you’re a team who shows up.

Bonus idea: create a fun, feel-good video series of your wedding coordinator being a total MVP, with clips from different weddings set to the Friends theme song. It’s a great way to show personality, connection, and care—all in one scroll-stopping reel.

Highlight the vibes

Example
“POV: It’s your wedding day. Guests are starting to arrive. The firepits are lit. Your butterflies are kicking in and golden hour is hitting just right.”

Those early evening transition moments are some of the most magical—and they deserve to be seen.

Live testimonials from the couples (while they’re buzzing)

Catch the couple during their reception while they’re still glowing. Ask them how they’re feeling or what their favorite part of the day has been. These raw, happy clips are perfect for Instagram Stories or a compiled testimonial reel that sells trust instantly.

Tag vendors & choose the right preferred vendors

Always tag your vendors and use Instagram’s “collaborate” feature wisely (think vendors who share your ideal clients). It helps extend your reach across multiple audiences.

Just as important: your preferred vendor list should include photographers who align with your venue’s aesthetic and know how to capture it beautifully. And make sure someone is following up to actually collect those photos post-wedding so you're never scrambling for content.

Share setup ideas (it helps the couples)

Show how your space can be styled in different ways—sweetheart table setups, florals on the mantle, cozy lounge corners, creative seating charts, etc. It helps future couples visualize how to make the space feel personal, and gives your feed more variety.

Use your food & bev menu for content

Your menu and offerings are a huge part of the guest experience—use it! Think: POV you’re walking up to an espresso martini bar, or passing bacon-wrapped scallops at golden hour. These little moments are aesthetic, scroll-worthy, and instantly tell a story. how to make the space feel personal, and gives your feed more variety.

Use your phone to create a time-lapse

This is an easy one anyone can do. Park your phone somewhere and show the magic in motion—a ballroom flip, the sun setting behind your ceremony spot, candles being lit. These videos are quick to capture and naturally captivating. They give followers a full-circle view of what your space looks and feels like throughout the day. Just be sure to give everyone a heads-up before filming.

“Wrap up” content is fun

At the end of each season—or even quarterly—try a fun recap post that shows off both your personality and your popularity. Think:

  • “In 2025, we hosted 118 weddings, served 700 champagne toasts, witnessed 1,000 ‘I do’s,’ and went through approximately 500 bacon-wrapped scallops.”

  • Or: “Most requested signature cocktail: spicy margarita 🌶️ Most-used ceremony song: A Thousand Years (again).”

It’s playful, it’s fun, and it makes your venue feel current and in-demand.

Think of your Instagram as a storefront

Social media is where most couples are finding their venues now—so your feed needs to look the part. Keep your grid clean, on-brand, and visually cohesive. When someone visits your page, they should immediately get a sense of your vibe—whether that’s an outdoor ceremony at golden hour or the suite with champagne flutes lined up.
